Lurking II: A Madness is a the follow-up to Lurking I: Immortui, though — unlike its predecessor — it is exclusively for Windows-based systems. Much like its predecessor, it is is it draws heavily on the early Ultima games for inspiration, and it’s certainly easy to see the influence of the series in these screenshots:
Lurking II boasts, according to its creators, a character creation system with modifiable skills and attributes, paper-doll character depiction, many hundreds of items to find and forge in the world, dozens of magical spells to cast, a party of up to five characters, tactical and turn-based combat, a multi-layer underworld, a non-linear story that emphasizes exploration in an open world populated by hundreds of NPCs and filled with secrets and Easter eggs, and over 50 types of monster to encounter and battle.
